Crane Creek is very pleased to announce the results of the 2010 San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition. This was the largest competition of American wines ever, with over 4,900 wines submitted and judged by a panel of 60 wine experts. There were 480 wines entered in the Native American Red category and our 2007 Hellbender Red (Norton) won the gold medal. Our second medal in the competition was a Bronze awarded to the 2008 Villard Noir in the Dry Rose category. Needless to say, we are very proud of the honor and recognition of Crane Creek Vineyards in this very prestigious event.

The 2009 professional wine judging took place at the Cloverdale Citrus Fair during the week of January 5, 2009. Professional wine judges representing trade, education, media, retail, and restaurants throughout the United States evaluated a record 4,736 wines entered by wineries from across the country.

Wines were awarded as Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Double Gold (unanimous gold by the judges). In addition, there were Best of Class Awards given for each of the wine judging categories, and the prestigious Sweepstake Awards for the top Sparkling, White, Pink, Red, & Dessert/Specialty wines.
